The Quality Chop House

Welcome to the meat lovers paradise, doubled up with a butcher next door. It’s hard to look more British than the stunning room (chess floors, dark wooden booths, vintage crockery…) feeding the local workers since 1869.

Chef Shaun Searley plays it very minimal, St. John style, using the best British seasonal produce to make his simple yet brilliant dishes. That day: homemade tarama and crunch radishes, roast Delica pumpkin and Ticklemore cheese, childhood-like Dexter beef mince on dripping toast with strong mustard-dressed salad, pheasant parfait and Mont-Blanc… But most of all, the legendary confit potatoes to die for. Don’t forget to pick up a nice bottle from the meticulous monthly wine list, or bring your own.
