21 Apr The Drapers Arms
At first glance, it’s just a nice local, complete with comfy club chairs and a quiet garden perfect for sipping pints in the sun. Laid-back setting, lovely staff, but nothing to write home about, you think. Think again.
Locals and foodies love it, and now it’s your turn to grab a seat at the table—and not just for a drink (although…). The upstairs kitchen works wonders and gives traditional pub grub a serious kick, all in a family-style, sharing atmosphere: whole fish of the day stuffed with fennel, a Sunday roast that’ll rouse anyone from their lie-in, peppy seasonal salads and an Eton mess that’ll have you pledging your allegiance to the Queen.
