28 Nov Sunday
Right in the middle of Cally, queues form up on the street in front of this mini and trendy neighbourhood coffee shop – and not only for its Sunday brunch. After a good half-hour wait, sneak in through the pretty vintage tables under the macramé.
It’s the spot to feast on simple and surprisingly delicious food, under international influence: courgette fritters, haloumi, avocado and poached egg sprinkled with dukkah ; a pile of soft buttermilk pancakes with berry compote and bacon, fig salad with whipped goat’s cheese, Parma ham and polenta… Appreciate it slowly while sipping on a season Square Root soda or a Bloody Sunday, lulled by the jazzy playlist and the percolator playing Caravan caffeinated tunes.
