Near the entrance to Borough Market, Tim Siadatan and Jordan Frieda’s black and white “pan” (sexier in Italian…) reveals itself to you gradually: it’s a sundrenched window spot, ideal for a quick lunch; but it’s also a cosy basement, perfect for dinner.
The Italian technique and British produce combo works wonders: crazy nduja and parsley tagliatelle, pici cacio pepe so good you’ll want seconds, and the Dexter beef chin ragu pappardelle hissing away in sizzling pans (here they are). Fill your glass with wine on tap, craft beers and cocktails. Oh, and don’t miss the borlotti beans and red salsa bruschetta, or the almond-rhubarb tart—trust us.
