26 Jan Morito Hackney Road
Take a break on the sunny side at Moro’s little brother, twin to Morito Exmouth Market. Expect the same laid-back Mediterranean vibe in collaboration with artist Dillwyn Smith: bright colours, an open kitchen, a wide glass window and kids running around.
Sit at the shiny marble bar, and dig endlessly into the tasty little plates: huevos rotos, sweet pepper, smoked paprika and chorizo for a wake-up kick; pimientos de padrón and Iberico ham to nibble on; fried aubergines, feta and date molasses anytime; mind-blowing sea bass with fresh cherries, cucumber and pistachio sauce or crispy pork belly chicharrones with cumin and lemon, Cadiz-style. Last but not least, give in to the chocolate and olive oil mousse with hazelnuts and a glass of sherry, cava or sharp albariño.
