The successful Ducksoup and Rawduck trio has now expanded to Dalston. Café-cum-deli, their sibling has the same carefully designed simple details that have been a hit since their beginnings: muted tones, polished concrete, subtly crumpled linen, handmade ceramics, pickles and ferments in the spotlight, and of course natural wines.
Tom Hill rustles up a Mediterranean-inspired seasonal menu, which joyous sharing plates leave the table fully mopped up: spot-on cod carpaccio, nectarine and mint; cracking charred green tomato salad, fresh cheese and almonds; light crab fideu, corn and coriander… Last in, the lemon verbena custard and poached amarillo peaches to lock in the summer.
