13 Jun La Goccia
No need now to go all the way to Richmond, the wonderful world of the Boglione family has now grown in Floral Court, in the middle of Covent Garden. We want to raid the shabby-chic homeware shop, have a bite in the deli, dine at sophisticated The Petersham… Or just share veggie-centric plates all-day, in La Goccia’s hushed elegance (leafy plum seats, huge floral paintings…).
Savour delicate slow food chichetti on botanical porcelain by Bertozzi, conjured up in Italian by Damian Clisby and Simon Whitely: pretty charcuterie; spring vibes with the wood-fired courgettes, mozza and rosemary pizzetta ; subtle crab and chili linguine; fantastic mascarpone semifreddo with hazelnut and pistachio praline. Slightly less bucolic than the original but just as exotic, down to the Italian wines and the botanical cocktails.
