Suchard Inngern’s local Thai had been around for more than twenty years before his children took over last July. Roselyn, Shakris and Bank have given the paternal institution a millennial makeover: mint blue, bistro chairs, copper, palm tree prints and powder pink… It’s seriously buzzing under the Ikea bamboo ceiling lights!
The chef of the trio, Bank rustles up a neoclassical menu, based around childhood cuisine and their trips to Bangkok: hot and soft Siam’s fried aubergine; nice traditional pad thai; fresh and herbaceous larb kai chicken salad; the already fave massaman curry; a garlicky and spicy side of morning glories… Add in a Singha or a glass of riesling, and it’s the perfect Thai canteen.
