The first London hotel combo by prolific Expérimental team has landed next to Frenchie, and it obviously includes a bar and a bistrot. Sticking with their winning formula, interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon has skillfully mixed retro vibes and graphic lines (velvet, brass, mirror galore, geometric floor and walls).
In the kitchen, bubbly Sylvain Roucayrol (CVS) has taken over Ollie Dabbous and gives it a Southwest feel from breakfast to dinner. His menu is all about ace produce and happy recipes with clever twists: eggs Benedict with Prince de Paris ham; soft cecina and fennel olive oil; gorgeous summery gem lettuce, confit tuna and anchovies; burratina hidden underneath a grilled avocado; oh-so comforting veal sweetbreads; crème catalane to crack open with the back of your spoon… Throw in a couple of sleek cocktails —Expé oblige— and it’s a wrap!
