16 May Casa Pastor
The happy Mexican family by the Hart brothers has now spread North of the River, all the way to Coal Drops Yard: small pop tables, seats at the green marbled counter, bench around a tree, urban beach shack-style with Plaza Pastor, the heated outdoor spot… Their latest casa is fit for everyone, anytime.
The menu plays classics to share, along with some sea-inspired newbies: everlasting guacamole with chicharrones to dip in; oozing quesadilla; the softest tuna tostada; a juicy lamb barbacoa feast; some fresh Acapulco ceviche; a rich corn cake reminding of a crème brûlée… Draw in the impressive collection of mezcals or a Negroni Rosita to moisten the whole thing.
