In three years, Nud Dudhia and Chris Whitney’s unconventional tacos went from a Hackney car park to grown-up London spaces, including this Soho outpost: vinyl records playing, cracking handmade Kana ceramics, beard-beanie uniform in the kitchen, dim lighting even during the day… A tex-mex inspiration with homemade tortillas and ace British produce.
Order it all: the moreish crab, marrow, habanero and cured egg yolk nachos; the crispy-gooey Baja fish tacos, lime mayo and pico de gallo; the entire octopus, black vinegar, Szechuan and soy (a good kilo to share)…. Wash it all down with a frozen margarita or a grapefruit and agave agua fresca, before tucking into the churros sandwich with coconut ice cream.
