Josh Katz’s second spot after Berber & Q has landed in the very foodie Exmouth Market (Moro, Pizza Pilgrims…) to keep on bringing back sharwarma: freely inspired from the streets of Tel Aviv, this Middle-East rotisserie is on the dot with its pretty, colourful and generous plates covering up the whole table.
Hurry and dip your warm brioche bread into the labneh with tomato and dill, spiced up with harissa oil, the creamy Mesabaha, perfect blend between tahini and chickpeas, smoky aubergine and pomegranate… Before sharing a gigantic fragrant half-chicken with Greek yogurt, herb salad and grated tomatoes or a highly Instagram-friendly cauliflower shawarma… Brighten it up with a few pickles and the house brew (zaatar, sumac and orange) made with Crate, before digging into the Bamba salted caramel and chocolate mousse or the rhubarb and orange blossom tart.
