05 Mar 28 Church Row
Set on a picturesque Hampstead street, there’s a rustic and cosy touch to this Georgian basement with a Spanish accent: you can easily feel settled under the exposed beams, surrounded by retro botanical posters and leather bar stools.
In the hands of the caring staff, nibble on unsurprising yet comforting, well-executed tapas: classic Gordal olives and Serrano croquetas to start with; octopus with garlic and almond; rabbit fritters and tapenade; honey grilled goat cheese and piquillos peppers; presa iberico 5J por favor and aubergine puree… Mop it all up with Hedone bread dipped in olive oil, lingering over bottles from all over the world. A safe neighbourhood bet.
